Black Pink Fans, the Blinks, Flip Out Over US TV Debut, Tour Dates

Almost three years after its’K-pop debut in August 2016, wildly popular girl group Black Pink is making back-to-back U.S. TV debuts: first on late-night TV via The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Monday night, followed by daytime TV on Good Morning America Tuesday.

The TV appearances coincide with the social media announcement of the dates for the North American leg of their ‘2019 In Your Area’ world tour, posted on the girl band’s official Instagram and that of their label, YG Entertainment’the Korean entertainment company that’s also behind other big K-pop names like 2NE1 and Big Bang (with whom they did a collaboration back in 2016).

BLACKPINK Set North American ‘In Your Area’ Tour Dates

BLACKPINK in your area! If your area happens to be one of the six North American cities the K-pop quartet will be bringing their 2019 world tour to.

After’teasing live dates, the group’s label YG Entertainment shared the North American concert stops via social media Monday (Feb. 11). The group will kick off the North American leg of their BLACKPINK In Your Area 2019 world tour with KIA in Los Angeles on April 17, in between the two weekends of Coachella, where they’ll also be performing. The tour will then take the act to Chicago and Hamilton before the month is out.’May will see the four women bring their show to Newark, Atlanta, and Fort Worth.

BLACKPINK announce debut North American tour

BLACKPINK are hitting the road. The South Korean group have announced a six date run centered around their sets at this year’s Coachella festival (where they’ll be the first K-Pop girl group to perform). Jisoo, Jennie, Ros’ and Lisa will hit Los Angeles, Chicago, Hamilton, Newark, Atlanta and Fort Worth on their first North American Jaunt, which kicks off in April. K-pop girl group BLACKPINK is preparing for an early start ‘ to perform on one of America’s most popular morning television shows, Good Morning America.

The ABC programme’s Twitter account on Monday said that the band would be appearing on its Tuesday morning show (local time).

The group’s four members ‘ Jennie, Rose, Jisoo and Lisa ‘ will perform during the live show, which is broadcast from ABC’s Times Square studio in New York.
