Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly are half way through their Comic Relief danceathon ‘ and the support is incredible

At the time of writing, the pair are about half way through the danceathon and have already raised more than ‘54,000.

So far, Beverley Knight, Richard Curtis, Fleur East, Susan Calman, Michelle Dockery, Emily Maitlis, Vernon Kay and many more have popped in as special guests to boost the duo’s energy.

UPDATE: Clearly there’s not a lot going on in Parliament today ‘ there is ‘ as Jon Snow popped in to dance to Madonna with Tess and Claud.

Claudia Winkleman And Tess Daly Have Been Dancing All Night For Comic Relief

When it comes to raising money for Comic Relief, there are a whole heap of challenges celebs have taken on; from climbing Kilimanjaro to climbing the Three Peaks and cycling between them.’

But not all challenges have to be quite so serious, as Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly are currently demonstrating with their 24-hour danceathon.’

The Strictly Come Dancing hosts kicked things off at 7pm last night ‘ starting by dancing to Beyonc’, naturally ‘ and will be on their feet until at least 7pm tonight.’

The pair kicked off their stint on BBCR2 at 7:15pm on Monday and saw the end of the epic event at 7:20pm’today, closing with Destiny Child’s 2001 smash hit Survivor.

Closing the show, an exhausted Winkleman and Daly said: ‘It’s incredible. The listeners have been amazing and all the presenters have looked after us brilliantly. All we want to do is sit down.’

Lorraine’s entertainment reporter Dan Wootton visited the pair with breakfast treats on Tuesday morning and told viewers he heard Winkleman ‘screaming and yelping’ during a quick four minute break, after admitting it has been ‘agony.’
