Soap fans left FUMING over New Year’s Day scheduling clash

One of the best things about Christmas Day and New Year’s Day is settling down in your favourite chair in front of the TV for a solid 10 hours. Soap fans particularly look forward to these special days, as it signifies possibly the most dramatic day of the year for storylines with everything that’s been going on the past year normally coming to a head.

However, for fans of more than one soap – as is normally the case – the upcoming New Year’s Day specials have presented something of an issue, as Coronation Street and EastEnders are scheduled for the SAME TIME.

This is completely unheard of, as TV scheduling normally allows for soap fans to watch all the soaps in succession – but this time around, people will be forced to choose between watching an hour of Coronation Street and an hour of EastEnders, as they’ll both be airing at 8pm on New Year’s Day.
