She said: “Like many, I suffer with IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) and I just thought I had had a flair up.

Sue, a mum-of-one said: “My side was sore, and I was on [the Coronation Street] set with a hot water bottle, shaking.

“My feet were blue and in pain. I was freezing on the hottest day of the year. I thought I had the flu.”

Dr Ron Daniels, chief executive of the UK Sepsis Trust, said: ‘Every year in the UK 250,000 people are affected by sepsis, 52,000 of whom lose their lives to the condition.’ If diagnosed quickly, however, sepsis is easily treatable and we believe that earlier diagnosis and treatment across the UK would save at least 14,000 lives a year.

Coronation Street SPOILER: Alya exposes Geoff’s lies?

Regardless of Alya making an attempt to inform Yasmeen it is not her fault, Yasmeen says: ‘Everything I’ve put Geoff through, it can’t have helped. I wouldn’t be surprised if the stress brought it on.’

Alya started to look involved and requested her if that is what Geoff mentioned however Yasmeen responded: ‘He didn’t have to. That print out from Doctor Gaddas practically confirms it.’
