CORONATION STREET hunk Charlie De Melo has signed a brand new contract with the soap until 2020, the Sun Online can exclusively reveal.

The 28 year-old actor, who has played dashing legal eagle Imran Habeeb on the ITV stalwart since November 2017, has inked a new 12-month deal with some explosive plot twists lying ahead for him.

Our show insider revealed: ‘Charlie’s the latest star to sign a year-long contract ‘ bosses are really keen for him to stick around as he’s such a popular character on the show.

Charlie’s contract extension comes hot on the heels of a raft of other stars signing on until next year.

These successful contract negotiations will be a welcome relief for street bosses, who endured a raft of public departures earlier this year.
