Universal Studios opens 2 Halloween Horror Nights houses for weekend

Don’t bury Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights just yet. Universal Studios theme park will make two of HHN’s planned-then-canned haunted houses available to the public later this week, the resort announced Monday evening.

Regular theme-park visitors will be able to experience houses called Revenge of the Tooth Fairy and Universal Monsters: The Bride of Frankenstein Lives on Saturday and Sunday, Universal says. There will not be an additional charge to go through the mazes. Visitors will use Universal’s Virtual Line system, accessible through the Universal Orlando app, once in the park to determine a time to go into the houses.

Sunburn ‘ The morning read of what’s hot in Florida politics ‘ 9.3.20

A new poll obtained by Florida Politics shows Republican U.S. Rep. Vern Buchanan with a strong lead over Democratic state Rep. Margaret Good in Florida’s 16th Congressional District.

The survey, conducted by Data Targeting, one of the top analytics firms in the state, shows 51% of voters are backing Buchanan compared with 35% who are lined up behind Good.

Even better news for Buchanan ‘ the poll finds him outperforming a generic Republican running for Congress while Good trails behind a generic Democrat. With no names involved, CD 16 voters say they’d go with a Republican 48% to 39%.
