“Remember, check with reputable sources before believing something you read online,” the sheriff’s office posted on its Facebook page. “The term ‘active shooter’ is not something that can be thrown around without great care, especially in our community.”

Deputies said a patient at the emergency room was angry about his wait time and “made comments that some took as a threat before he left and went home,” the sheriff’s office said.

“There was no weapon of any kind seen,” the sheriff’s office said. “We have made contact with the suspect and are following up.”

ONE OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY’S NEWEST MEMBERS is flooding the midterm field with cash in the final days.

The Bloomberg-backed super PAC in recent days bought $423,000 in TV time in Oklahoma’s Fifth District, which includes Oklahoma City and until now hadn’t seen any super PAC advertising, and added $1.6 million to a previous purchase in Florida’s Sixth District on the state’s northeast coast.

‘In the last week we have seen a noticeable and clear expansion of the map that encompasses races that were not on anyone’s radar screen at the beginning of the month,’ said Howard Wolfson, a Bloomberg aide who is treasurer of the super PAC.

They would keep going until Yellowbird-Chase satisfied the nagging feeling she’d had about this spot for months.
