‘We are diligently planning to ensure visitors to the 2021 festival can have a safe and fun experience with their families just like they have for 85 years,’ said Florida Strawberry Festival President Paul Davis. ‘This year, we believe it is in the best interest of everyone, guests and entertainers, to not have patrons sitting shoulder to shoulder for an extended period of time.’

The Festival’s other major attractions including rides, livestock shows, on-grounds entertainment, concessions and exhibits will continue at this point as they are all held either outdoors, in open-air facilities or in areas where guests can move around as they please, Davis said.

Jason Aldean, Rascal Flatts latest to call off Tampa concerts

How bad is the concert outlook at Tampa’s MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre these days? Even shows that haven’t gone on sale yet are being called off.

Country stars Jason Aldean and Rascal Flatts have squashed upcoming tours that were scheduled to bring them to Tampa on Sept. 11 and Oct. 16, respectively. Aldean has postponed his tour to 2021, while Rascal Flatts ‘ who had planned this to be their farewell tour ‘ canceled theirs outright, with no details about when they’ll play again.

The good news, if there is any, is that individual tickets had not yet gone on sale for either of these concerts. They were only available through Live Nation’s Country Megaticket, a bundle that allows fans to buy seats for six shows at once. Two other Megaticket shows, Thomas Rhett and Lady Antebellum, had already called off their tours.
