In NFL playoffs, Marlon Mack makes USF history

More than two years after taking his last handoff as a Bull, Marlon Mack has made another entry in USF annals.

In addition to etching his name in the Colts’ history books Saturday, former Bulls TB Marlon Mack’ made another entry in USF annals as well.

The second-year Colts tailback scored on a 2-yard touchdown run in the first quarter of Saturday’s AFC wild card game at Houston, becoming the first USF player to score a touchdown in the NFL playoffs.

By day’s end, he had run for 148 yards in Indianapolis’ 21-7 victory, a new Colts playoff record according to ESPN. He became the franchise’s first player with 100 rushing yards in a playoff game since Dominic Rhodes in Super Bowl XLI.

‘We should be much better than what are,’ coach Charlie Strong, said, noting the Bulls won again despite not putting together a strong all-around performance.
