Concerns about crowd size and safety amid the pandemic drove the decision to go in a different direction with the annual meeting ‘ one of the chamber’s biggest fundraisers of the year.

With safety in mind, SWFL Inc., a regional chamber’serving businesses in Lee, Collier and Charlotte counties, for instance, plans a’digital-only version of its annual awards program next month.

Before the pandemic hit, the Naples chamber planned to hold its annual meeting at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in May,’following its’usual traditions, with hundreds of local business and community leaders expected to attend the glitzy affair.
