The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended against gatherings of 50 or more people. The Associated Press reported that the country is barreling toward a shutdown.

Hello and welcome to Monday. The legislative session is careening to a near-close (more on that later), but of course each day, each hour, each minute brings yet another disruption caused by coronavirus.

Coming back ‘ And that reality crashed into the annual session late Friday night when several legislators asked point-blank why they had to return to the Capitol this coming week. Lawmakers are done with their work on just about everything, save a new state budget. A final agreement was reached on Saturday, but the required 72-hour cooling off period for the budget means a final vote can’t come until later.
