The City of St. Petersburg has selected its initial round of vendors for the Pier Marketplace at the St. Pete Pier when it opens next Spring.

The vendors will provide goods and services ranging from jewelry and art to artisan foods and caricatures.

Dozens apply for St. Petersburg Pier Marketplace slots

Dozens of merchants and vendors have submitted applications to be a part of the city of St. Petersburg’s Municipal Pier Marketplace offering, which will compliment a slew of restaurants and other retailers at the planned $76 million attraction.

Just as impressive as the number was the stipulation that the applicants not be exclusively food purveyors because of a lack of preparation and cooking space at the Marketplace.
