ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — We had quite the eventful day for weather in Tampa Bay Sunday. A weather system brought strong to severe thunderstorms, complete with reports of possible tornadoes across the south in recent days and finally reached Florida.

A weather system brought strong to severe thunderstorms, complete with reports of possible tornadoes across the south in recent days and finally reached Florida.
Storm-related damage was reported in the 4300 block of 11 Ave. S. St. in St. Pete. Thankfully, there were no reported injuries.

A likely twister caused damage in Greensboro on Sunday evening. Photos posted to social media showed debris and structural damage.
Cars were overturned and at least seven homes and a mobile classroom were damaged by high winds, according to Greensboro.com, although no injuries have been reported.
A possible tornado hit near Lynchburg, Virginia, on Sunday as well, according to the National Weather Service. Several buildings were damaged in Campbell County, while trees were snapped and cars were flipped.
Sunday afternoon, a waterspout was reported near the Sunshine Skyway Bridge in’Hillsborough County, Florida, about 13 miles away from the city of St. Petersburg, the NWS reports. In Camden County, Georgia, a possible twister uprooted several trees in Harrietts Bluff, roughly 300 miles from Atlanta.
