MoveHub.com, which is in the business of matching movers to customers, has released a “hipster index” survey naming Tampa the 11th most hipster city on the planet, well ahead of less-happening places like Amsterdam and Paris.

MoveHub based the index on each city’s number of vegan eateries, coffee shops, tattoo studios, vintage boutiques and record stores per 100,000 city residents.

St. Petersburg came in at No. 50 behind more hipster cities like Birmingham, Ala., and Knoxville, Tenn.

Continue.

Overall, the English seaside resort of Brighton and Hove barely topped Portland, Ore., for the top spot, and three Florida cities ‘ Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Orlando ‘ came in at Nos. 6, 7 and 8 on the list, respectively.
